Xavagus Prime Software has announced the release of an updated version of a classic Mac game: OIDS. It’s an arcade-style action game that first made its debut more than a decade ago.

OIDS 2.0 is described as “melding elements of games like Choplifter, Asteroids, Defender, Lode Runner and Lunar Lander.” When it was first released in 1990, the game earned a five mice rating from Macworld magazine. The last version before this release was 1.4, made back in 1991.

Xavagus Prime Software is part-time shareware business created by Kirk Baker, an experienced game programmer with fifteen years of experience (currently looking for work) whose past credits include the original commercial release of OIDS, as well as Dungeon Master II: The Legend of Skullkeep, Courier Crisis and Beavis and Butthead. He also worked on the CD-ROM and DVD versions of the acclaimed Encyclopedia Britannica. Baker acquired the rights to OIDS, has updated it, and released the game as shareware.Recently Baker dropped MacCentral a line to let readers know of his new effort. He’s proud of his new creation, and said, “OIDS has turned out really well. It is very smooth on fast Macs even with huge resolutions (one tester reported getting 76 fps at 1920×1600 resolution on a Dual 800 PowerMac G4).”Baker added that OIDS High Scores list records both all-time and monthly high scores. “… people who aren’t OIDS pros can get their scores on the list (at least at the beginning of the month),” he said.System requirements call for a PowerPC-based Mac (G3 or better recommended) running Mac OS 7.x through Mac OS 9.x. OIDS can run as a Classic application under Mac OS X, but running in Mac OS 9.x is recommended for optimal performance.

Abstract
There are three theories of cancer development analyzed in this review. The first theory is the immunological theory, which states that cancer is a result of the immune system failing to detect a cancerous cell in which results in uncontrolled cell growth. The second theory is the somatic mutation theory, which states that genetic mutations are a direct cause cancer. The third theory is the stem cell theory which states that cancer results from an uncontrolled stem cell. The difference in each theory helps guide a clinician’s judgment in how to treat cancer. If a clinician believes in the immunological theory, he/she will view the best route of treatment as being by targeting the patient’s immune system. One who believes somatic mutation theory would say that the patient’s genetic makeup of the patient is the ideal target for treatment. One who believes in the stem cell theory would say that the only method of treatment is to remove the cancer entirely as any residual cancer will return. Based on all the evidence it appears that there is not one individual factor that causes cancer development, rather it is a combination of several factors that result in cancer.Smol Lander Mac Os Download
